The Brady Township Zoning Hearing Board consists of three members , all of whom are residents of the Township, appointed by the Township Board of Supervisors. No member of the Board may hold other office in the Township. The members serve staggered, three-year terms. Duties of the Board include the following:

Any and all Persons desiring to undertake ANY new construction, structural or site alteration, or changes in use of buildings or lot including, but not limited to erecting, altering, or converting any structure, sign or building or altering the use of the land shall apply to the Zoning Officer for a zoning permit by completing the appropriate application form and submitting the required fee.
No persons shall undertake the above without proper application of a Zoning Permit.

Building Permits are required for any building, except agricultural buildings. Buildings exceeding 200 square feet, buildings of 200 square feet and any building not requiring a building permit, shall require a zoning permit and an inspection by the Zoning Officer to determine that proper setbacks, zoning, and maximum size requirements are met.
A Building Permit is required when any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by the Pennsylvania Construction Code Act and Regulations to the Act.

The Planning Commission makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all land development and subdivision applications that are submitted to the Township. The Planning Commission plays an important role in developing the Township's Comprehensive Land Use Plan as well as keeping the codes up to date and in compliance with Pennsylvania's Municipalities Code.
The Planning Commission meets the first Wednesday of each month (as needed) at 7:00 PM in the township municipal building.
